In today’s post, let’s review what we have learned so far this month.
The first post introduced COLONTOWN University and how it came into being.
The 2nd was about CRC101, particularly, about “What do I need to know” when you are initially diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
In this post, we went over the common CRC Biomarkers briefly.
In the 3rd post, we went over staging, and in detail about MSS/MSI-H, the most important biomarker for colorectal cancer.
We learned about microsatellites and what the status of MSS or MSI really means and how this affects the treatments we receive.
In August, we will talk about the other important CRC biomarkers: RAS, BRAF and HER2 or ERBB2. We will also briefly touch on some other very rare markers. If your tumor has them, it could mean new treatment options for you.
